Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) students are celebrating after achieving a series of outstanding exam results in their SAGE, bookkeeping, costing and budgeting exams.
40 students who took their budgeting exam saw similar success with students achieving a 100% pass rate and 86% of students achieving a merit grade or higher, on the costing exam, students achieved a 97% pass rate and 100% of the bookkeeping group passed their exam with an average score of 89.6%.

AAT student, Alice Reynolds, from Newcastle-under-Lyme, achieved a distinction grade of 100% in her budgeting exam. Alice who chose to study at Newcastle College because of its great reputation of delivering AAT qualifications, said: “Since joining the course my career prospects have definitely improved, I feel incredibly well supported by the College and my lecturers and I’m thoroughly enjoying what I’m doing."
Curriculum Leader in Accountancy, Tina Beeston added: “All of our accounting students have worked extremely hard throughout the course and in preparation for the examinations. This is a great achievement for both the students, staff and the College.”
