Course overview

The course consists of the following topics: acting safely whilst checking a casualty, giving CPR (resuscitation), recovery position, choking, dealing with a variety of major and minor emergencies, identifying and dealing with specific childhood illnesses, the duties of employers and legal requirements.

Suitable for those requiring a specific first aid certificate. Please note there may be additional costs for books, materials or other expenses. Please wear comfortable and suitable clothing.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

How is it assessed?

Assessment is in the form of practical observations and a multiple choice question paper.
