If you’re struggling to decide whether to stay on at your school sixth form or go to college, we’re here to help you make the right decision for you.

Here are some of the advantages of coming to NSCG:

Bigger choice

We have a much wider choice of courses. You can choose to study A Levels from 30 different subjects at Newcastle and 22 at Stafford. If you have a real interest in a particular subject we have a wide range of vocational courses in a variety of subjects.

Specialist staff

Our teaching staff concentrate solely on the courses that they teach, and are therefore experts in their field!

Support

We have a big team of people who are here to help keep you focused on achieving your goals. You will have a Personal Tutor, with whom you will have formal progress performance reviews every half-term. In addition, we have a network of specialist staff including Learner Managers and Career Advisors.

Results & Success

The Group's achievement rates on A Levels and advanced vocational courses consistently exceed national benchmarks, firmly placing Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) among the top 5% of General Further Education Colleges in the country, for learners aged 16-18.

Environment

College offers a different atmosphere to that of school. The environment is much more informal and students are given a lot more independence and treated more like adults. You probably won’t attend college every day, so it’s important that you dedicate study time to your days off.

Progression

Overall, 95% of our students are going on to university, an apprenticeship or employment. For several consecutive years NSCG has been the biggest provider of students to higher education in Staffordshire, with over 800 students progressing to over 100 different universities last year.
