A LEVELS & A+ PROGRAMMES
Our consistently high qualification achievement rates place us in the top 10% of colleges in England for learners aged 16-18.
Our broad range of A Levels or A+ Programmes are great options if you want to progress to university or on to a higher apprenticeship. All courses are two years long and the majority of students will study three subjects over this period. Students who can demonstrate a track record of high academic achievement may decide to study four subjects from the A Level and A+ Programme subject options, or take an Extended Project Qualification as their fourth subject.
You will be fully supported during your time at NSCG and we aim to ensure you are happy, productive and in safe hands.
The majority of A Level subjects are assessed by external examinations at the end of your two year studies so it’s important you are comfortable studying for, and taking external examinations.
An A+ Programme allows you to combine A Level subjects together with a BTEC Extended Certificate and provides a greater balance of examinations and coursework.
So, if you are good at exams, like theories, ideas and facts, want to study three subjects in depth and intend to study higher education or get a higher apprenticeship, then our 6th Form academic pathway could be the perfect option for you.
We offer a broad range of A Level and A+ subjects, so if you like the sound of an A Level or A+ Programme, then chat to our Sixth Form team who are online today about your preferred subject choices and combinations.
You’ll need: A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 5 or above including maths and English, in subjects relevant to your A Level or A+ Programme subject choices. Please note there are additional entry requirements for some subjects, please see our prospectus or website for further details.
WE'RE IN THE TOP 10 OF NATIONAL COLLEGES FOR UNIVERSITY PROGRESSION. IN 2019, NSCG SENT 1030 STUDENTS TO OVER 97 HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS.
