Multiply
Good numeracy skills may unlock job opportunities and lead to higher wages or prepare you for further study. They also help in everyday life, such as helping children with homework and budgeting money.
That's why we're proud to be part of Multiply, the government-funded programme which aims to help adults improve their numeracy skills. If you’re aged 19 and over and don’t have maths GCSE at grade C (or equivalent), you can access free numeracy courses through Multiply to build your confidence with numbers and gain a qualification.
At NSCG, we offer a programme of informal courses to help you to develop the skills you need.
The Multiply project can help you to:
- Gain a better understanding of fractions, measurements, time and algebra in a practical way
- Learn how to use maths to help with managing money
- Improve your job prospects by gaining new maths skills
- Build confidence with numbers before enrolling on a maths qualification
* Courses are open to Staffordshire residents who pay their Council Tax to Cannock Chase District Council, East Staffordshire Borough Council, Newcastle Under Lyme Borough Council, Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, Lichfield District Council, Stafford Borough Council, South Staffordshire District Council and Tamworth Borough Council.
