Newcastle & Stafford Colleges Group extends huge congratulations to the 'Class of 2026', whose record-breaking results once again outperform national averages and position NSCG as 'Staffordshire's Leading College'.

At NSCG, we recognise that results matter to young people and their parents, and we are exceptionally proud of the students who've shown resilience, drive, determination and ambition to secure these outstanding results.

Achieving three or more substantial qualifications is key to unlocking progression on to university and into a good career. For several consecutive years NSCG has been the biggest provider of students to higher education in Staffordshire, with 1285 students progressing to 102 different universities last year.

This is just one of the many reasons why we’re Staffordshire's Leading College.

A Level Results 2026

In 2026, 1435 A Level entries were made with a pass rate of 99.2%.

62.5% achieved high grades of A*-B
28.4% being A*-A.
85.6% achieved A*-C grades
A Level subjects with a 100% pass rate include: Animation, Art & Design, Business Studies, Computing, Economics, English Language, English Literature, Environmental Science, Film Studies, Graphic Design, Geography, History, Law, Media Studies, Philosophy, Religion & Ethics, Photography, Physics and Politics
78.4% of A+ Programme entries achieved distinction grades or above as part of their A Level Programme.

T Level Results 2026

99% pass rate on our all T Level programmes.
30% of T Level students achieving Distinction grades or above (equivalent to A or above at A Level)
83.7% of T Level students achieving merit grades or above (equivalent to B or above at A Level).
Particularly strong subjects include: Digital Production Design & Development, where 66.7% of students achieved Distinction grade or above, Education and Childcare where 59% of students achieved Distinction grade or above and Legal Services, where 44% of students achieved Distinction grade or above.

Vocational Results 2026

1203 BTEC Extended Diploma entries with 99% pass rate.
82.3% of Vocational (BTEC) entries achieved high grades DMM or above (equivalent to A* - B at A Level)
58.6% of Vocational (BTEC) entries achieved DDD grades or higher (equivalent to A or above at A Level)

Apprenticeship Results

NSCG’s overall achievement rate for apprenticeships during the last academic year (23/4) was 73.9% against a FE College national average of 62.3%, placing us at No.1 in the West Midlands and one the top 5 Colleges in the UK.

We currently work with more than 900 employers across Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, Shropshire and Cheshire, supporting more than 2300 apprentices in a wide range of industries to "earn whilst they learn".
