St. Modwen Homes Joins NSCG as T Level Employer Placement Provider

Property developer, St. Modwen Homes are looking to nurture and develop their future workforce talent by hosting an extended T Level industry placement to NSCG learners.

Max Milner, who is studying for a T Level in Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction (Building Services Design) has been given the enviable opportunity to experience first-hand, the practical skills required for a successful career in this sector at the Blythe Fields development.

Max said: "St. Modwen Homes have helped me to learn new planning skills, and has also given me a deeper understanding of the construction industry and how it works. I'm really enjoying my placement and grateful for this experience, and I'm sure my placement will enhance my theoretical knowledge back in college."

Rachel Doherty, Learning and Skills Advisor at St. Modwen Homes added: 'We're excited to be working with Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group to offer this placement. T Levels are an ideal mix of academic learning and work-based placements which offers students the opportunity to really get to experience the construction industry and make informed decisions on their future careers. Being able to undertake a T Level work placement shows dedication and commitment, and helps to differentiate students in the jobs markets. From an employer perspective, T Levels are helping to close the skills gap in construction, and are a real example of academic learning and industry working together to benefit the next generation.
