Students’ Union Officers spread love and kindness on Valentine’s Day
The Students’ Union at Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) has been spreading love and kindness with a variety of activities to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Starting on February 13th, officers from both NSCG Students' Union toured their respective campus and the local town centre, performing random acts of kindness to unsuspecting students, staff members and visitors.
The learners handed out fresh flowers, chocolates and inspiring messages to passers-by, with the hope it would have a positive impact as they went about their day.
To wrap up the week, the Union’s Mental Health & Wellbeing Officer, Adele, organised a Baking Battle, where students put their baking skills to the test to see who could sell the most homemade treats, all to raise funds for Samaritans and to raise awareness of loneliness at this time of year.
