Award in Interior Design

This qualification is suitable for learners who wish to develop skills and knowledge in Interior design.

This qualification aims to:

• enable learners to develop basic skills in Interior design
• provide learners with underpinning knowledge around interior design processes
• provide learners with a basis for progression into further study in Interior design

The objectives of this qualification are to help learners to:

• develop a portfolio of work in craft
• use materials, tools and equipment correctly and safely
• develop an understanding of health and safety considerations in the craft environment.

Learners who complete the L1 Award in Interior Design will achieve the NCFE Level 1 Award in Creative Craft (Art and Design)

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

Each learner must create a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria associated with each unit.

Upon successful completion learners can progress to an upcoming Level 2 course.
