The Association of Accounting Technician (AAT) is the UKs leading qualification and membership body for accounting staff. As a professional body, AAT offers membership to both student and qualified Accounting Technician members.
AAT qualifications are widely recognised by employers and universities in the accounting and finance sector.

The AAT Level 2 qualification is one of the most common starting points traditionally for those who are working, or aim to work, in an accounting role in practice or industry. If you do not wish to take the full Level 2 AAT qualification, you can complete just the bookkeeping and/or computerised accounting modules and achieve the Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping and/or the Level 2 Award in Computerised Accounting. You can choose whether to study in the evening or during the day.

This is the starting point for anyone looking at either gaining a qualification in accounting who is already working in the field or for someone wanting to change career paths.What are the entry requirements?
You will need five GCSEs A* to C including English and Maths to study this course. Other equivalent qualifications may be considered and there are exemptions for applicants with relevant workplace experience.
Youll be taught by our qualified and skilled staff who will share their industrial knowledge and experience with you. AAT modules are assessed by computer-based exams. You will require 70% marks to pass each module.

What can I do next?
Many students continue to AAT Level 3 and then Level 4 in order to become fully qualified Accounting Technicians. You may start a job in the field of Accounting or start as a trainee accountant.
