Course overview
The course is aimed at those who use or want to develop their own counselling skills in a range of settings. The course offers learners the opportunity to identify, understand and evaluate key elements of the main theoretical approaches to counselling and practice and develop a range of interpersonal and counselling skills.On completion of the course you will be aware of the skills required to initiate, maintain and conclude a counselling skills interaction and integrate these into your chosen setting. The course provides a nationally recognised qualification in counselling skills to those who complete it successfully.

Please note there may be additional costs for books, materials or other expenses.What are the entry requirements?
Learners are required to have achieved the Level 2 Award in Counselling Concepts before applying for this course . Please note we do not accept online Level 2 qualifications.
You will have also completed the 6 week introductory course to give you the confidence to progress onto the full Level 3 Counselling qualification

How is it assessed?
Through completion of assignments, all of which are internal assessed , internally and externally moderated In addition peer, tutor and self asssessement runs throigh the course.
What financial support is on offer?
If you are 19-23, it is your first Level 3, and are studying an SFA approved Level 3 programme you may be eligible for full fee remission.
You can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan or Higher Education Loan to help with the costs of your course if you are 19 or older and the course you are studying is an eligible Level 3, 4, 5 or 6 course.

What can I do next?
On successful completion of this course learners may able to progress onto a related Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
