Course overview
This qualification provides an opportunity for electricians to take electrical design to the next level. It will expand their knowledge and understanding of electrical installation design of an installation.What else do I need to know?
This is a roll-on, roll-off qualification that is commenced at anytime during the year.The course will be delivered in five days across a three week period (Weeks 1 & 2 - Monday and Tuesday and week 3 - one day only).
There will be an additional fee of £155 + VAT to cover materials and books.
What are the entry requirements?
This qualification is suitable for learners who have successfully complete either the EAL or City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification or similar. It is recommended that you also possess the 18th Edition Requirements of Electrical Installations (BS7671) and a suitable Inspection & Testing of Electrical Installations qualification.
How is it assessed?
The assessment of this qualification involves the following two aspects:
1) An EAL set centre marked project
2) A written controlled knowledge assessment which is graded Pass, Merit, Distinction or Fail.

What financial support is on offer?
You can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan or Higher Education Loan to help with the costs of your course if you are 19 or older and the course you are studying is an eligible Level 3, 4, 5 or 6 course.
