Deepen your understanding of the impact of alcohol consumption on individuals and communities. Explore key concepts such as responsible drinking, alcohol-related harm and strategies for reducing alcohol misuse. Gain insights into the physical, social and mental health effects of alcohol abuse.

Our Level 1 Award in Alcohol Awareness online course aims to raise awareness and provide a range of skills, knowledge and understanding surrounding alcohol misuse. It covers subjects such as unit strengths of different types of alcohol, the effects of alcohol misuse, health issues associated with alcohol, withdrawing from alcohol, and where to find help and support to stop drinking

Be working or volunteering in a health and social care environment or other relevant working environment; have a basic level of English in order to complete the written assessments.

This course will require the learner to commit to self study hours in order to complete the assessments.

To achieve the Level 1 Award in Alcohol Awareness, learners must successfully demonstrate their achievement of all learning outcomes and assessment criteria of the mandatory unit.

Assessments must be completed in the agreed timescale and submitted to the assessor who will then provide feedback, advice and guidance, and, additional support where needed.
