Course overview
Learn more about cyber crime and the risks and effects it has on individuals and organisations in the modern world. This course is a modern, up-to-date qualification covering aspects of e-safety and to protect against online threats.
Studying this course, learners will develop their skills and knowledge of cyber crime and the risks and effects it has on individuals and organisations.
Throughout the course, adult learners will become more confident in understanding the routine protective methods used to maintain cyber security including the principles of vulnerability and penetration testing and user access control.
There is one mandatory unit and three key learning outcomes covered that support learners knowledge of :
- The Cybercrime Landscape
- Protective Methods to Maintain cyber security
- Legislation and Codes of Conduct for cyber security
Learners will need to have a basic literacy and numeracy skills.
An IT qualification at Level 1/2 would be advantageous but interested in the topic of digital and IT security is essential.
The course is a series of assessments and portfolio based work.
