UK Shared Prosperity Fund: Anatomy & Physiology (HTQ)

This FREE 15-week course will look at anatomy studies and the structure of the human body, while physiology is concerned with understanding its function. Delivery will explore the structure and function of the skeleton, osteology and the anatomy of bones and bone growth, types of joint, their structure and their contribution to range of movement. You will also explore the structure and function of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems and their role in exercise, the changes that take place and the effect of environmental factors on their effectiveness.

Learners on the course will cover the following:

• Identify the key structures of the skeletal system
• Describe the structure and function of muscles
• Explore the structure and function of the cardiovascular system
• Discuss the structure and function of the respiratory system

An understanding of anatomy systems at Level three standard or relevant industry experience will be required to apply for this course.
