The Centre for Excellence in Maths (CfEM) is a nationwide project commissioned by the DFE and delivered by the ETF. It focuses on the delivery and impact of GCSE resit maths in the post-16 setting and aims to deliver substantial research and insight into driving improvements across the sector. There are 21 centres in total across England and each have their own focus and research objectives working in collaboration with local network partners from across their local region. More information can be found here: CfEM Website Link.
At the NSCG CfEM, we are proud to have been partnered by 12 fellow colleges in our drive to improve maths resit provision within our region. The five year national project has produced a bank of Action Research Reports and Resources for Post-16 FE GCSE maths resits including a Scheme of Work, 30 lessons, Mastery Handbook, Mastery screencasts, Whole College Approach resources, University of Nottingham Lesson Trial research and Functional Skills Lessons.
Please see below for our partners and links to all the research and resources that have been created through the project.
