NSCG Newcastle College Creative Arts students showcase their talent with end of year exhibition
On Thursday 20 June, family and friends of talented creative art students from Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) were invited to the launch evening of the 2024 Art Exhibition.
The exhibition, titled ‘SHOW’, encompasses all creative subjects from the college’s creative faculty, including graphic design, animation, media, film, games design, art & design, illustration, photography and fashion.
Visitors were invited to NSCG’s Newcastle campus for an exclusive preview of the exhibition, taking a sneak peek at the impressive work, ahead of its opening to the public on Friday 21 June.
The exhibition has risen in popularity over the years and is set to welcome an influx of visitors, keen to view the work of some of the most talented students in and around Staffordshire.
Students have been inspired by a wide variety of subjects including music, sustainability and nature.
Previous student and award winning sculptor
Anthony Hammond was invited to the event as a special guest, and gave a
presentation to students and their families about his own creative career and the
work he has done since graduating from Newcastle College in 1995.
Anthony is a chainsaw carver and has created a number of sculptures across the
West Midlands and South Cheshire, including his recent carving of a World War
Two soldier at Brampton Park to commemorate the 80th anniversary of
the D-Day landings.
‘SHOW’ is opened to the public on Monday 24th June, 10am until 4pm and will welcome visitors during the following hours:
Tuesday 25th June: 10am - 7pm, Wednesday 26th: 10am - 5pm, Thursday 27th June: 10am - 7pm and Friday 28th June: 10am - 4pm.

We have some brilliant students at Newcastle College who will be go on to forge exciting careers in the UK’s creative industries. Our end-of-year exhibition is a great way for them to showcase their creativity and celebrate their achievement with the local community.”
