Creative Arts, Film & Media

Creativity is intelligence having fun.

If creativity is in your DNA, then imagine yourself crafting a career from your passion. Express your ideas and develop technical skills with a range of pathways.

Your artistic talents will be developed in our faculty which contains specialist studios and industry-standard equipment. Throughout your creative course, you will build a portfolio of work and have the opportunity to enter your work in industry and sector awards as well as exhibiting in our fantastic end of year art exhibition.

Once you’ve completed your studies, you could progress to a creative university or bag a creative job like some of our former students. Pete Bebb won an Oscar and BAFTA for Visual Effects in the Hollywood movie Inception and James Brown was part of the visual effects team who worked on the Oscar winning 2016 Disney remake of the Jungle Book.

Showcase your work: At the end of each academic year, we host our annual Art Exhibitions. The exhibitions which take place at both Newcastle and Stafford campuses, have risen in popularity over the years and welcome hundreds of visitors, keen to view the work of some of the most talented students in and around Staffordshire. It encompasses all creative subjects from our creative faculties, which includes graphic design courses, animation, media, film, games design, art & design, illustration, photography and fashion courses.

Reach higher: If you're ready to move onto a university level qualification we offer full-time HNC and HND courses in Digital Content Creation. If you’re not quite ready for university we also offer a Level 3/4 Foundation Diploma in Art, Design & Media Practice.
