We’re here to make your journey to NSCG Leek safe, simple, and stress-free. Our dedicated college bus service provides secure and convenient term-time routes, giving new and returning students a reliable way to travel. With DBS-checked drivers and friendly support, you can enjoy peace of mind while joining fellow students on the way to campus.

For 2025/26, travel from Buxton to Leek is completely free. Other routes offer flexible payment plans to make commuting to Leek College easy and affordable. These buses to Leek College are designed to ensure you arrive ready to learn, making your journey to Leek Campus both safe and enjoyable.

Route L3 - Ashbourne • Waterhouses • Leek

Route L3 is operated as a return route only. When travelling to Leek College, it is recommended to use the 108 Aimee's Travel bus, which follows a similar route. Further information on this route can be found here

The 108 bus can also be used to travel from Leek to Buxton at 10:35 and 13:55.

If you wish to return on the 108 Aimee's Travel bus, you can get the 16:15 departure from Leek Bus Station.

Get Ready to Ride - Apply for a Bus Pass

If you're a new or returning Leek College student, you'll need a bus pass to use our college transport. 

Please complete our bus pass application form and a member of the team will be in touch to confirm next steps.  If you're under 18 years old, you might need a little help from your parent or guardian to fill out the form. They may have some of the important information you'll need.

We know that arranging transport can feel like a big step, especially if it’s your first time travelling to college. That’s why we’ve put together answers to the questions we get asked the most.

Students will be able to enjoy subsidised transport costs, and the costs will depend on where you will be travelling from.  Your charge band is listed on our bus timetables for the route and stop you will be using.   

Our charging bands are as follows: 

Prices for Academic Year 2025/6

Route L1

  • Band A - £290
  • Band B - £395
  • Band C - £520
  • Band D - £635

Route L3 (PM only)

  • Band A - £150
  • Band B - £200
  • Band C - £260
  • Band D - £320

Transport between Leek College and Buxton College is FREE for learners enrolled on a full time or part time study programme at Leek College.

You can either pay in full or by instalments. Payment by instalment will be a 30% initial payment to secure the place on the bus followed by 7 monthly payments collected by Direct Debit. Collections will commence in November and will be collected on the 10th of each month (or the nearest working day after the 10th)

Once you have completed your application form, our team will be in touch to process your application and confirm payment methods. The initial payment can be made by bank transfer or by card over the phone to secure your place on the bus.

Route L1

  • Band A – First payment of £87.00 followed by 7 payments of £29.00
  • Band B – First payment of £118.50 followed by 7 payments of £39.50
  • Band C – First payment of £156.00 followed by 7 payments of £52.00
  • Band D – First payment of £190.50 followed by 7 payments of £63.00

Route L3 (PM only)

  • Band A – First payment of £45.00 followed by 7 payments of £15.00
  • Band B – First payment of £60.00 followed by 7 payments of £20.00
  • Band C – First payment of £78.00 followed by 7 payments of £26.00
  • Band D – First payment of £96.00 followed by 7 payments of £32.00

NSCG is pleased to be able to offer financial support to help students meet the costs of attending College.  If you qualify for a student bursary, this funding may reduce or even cover the cost of your bus pass, subject to availability.

We will issue your bus pass to your when you start college, subject to completion of your application form and payment/bursary details being set up.  If your pass has not arrived with you by the start of term, temporary arrangements will be put in place, details of which will be communicated directly to you via email.
