Careers Advice
Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance
We understand that deciding on your future career can be daunting, so we are here to give you lots of information and advice to find the best career pathway for you.
Before you come to college we will give you lots of opportunities to look round, meet with staff, ask questions, experience subject tasters and get a feel for college life.
While you’re on your course you’ll spend plenty of time exploring your future progression, and whether you want to stay with us for longer, move to an apprenticeship, go to university, set up your own business, get a job or volunteer, we’ll help you get to where you want to be. Our annual Next Steps Fair is a great event, where we invite universities and employers in to college so you can talk to them all under one roof and find out about what they can offer.
Lots of our teachers have worked in industry and have direct experience of careers in your subject area – so you’ll be hearing about it from the experts! You’ll also
hear from guest speakers, go on trips and visits, take part in competitions and work on live briefs set by employers –all to help you get a better idea and plan for your future. We’ll help you find work experience so that you can really get to grips with different workplaces and see what life could be like beyond college.
