‘Here for you’ initiative to support student’s transition to college

As NSCG welcomes record-breaking numbers of students through the door, the college reminds students to speak out if they feel they have chosen the wrong course.

The college’s ‘Here for you’ aims to creates an open and supportive environment where students can feel comfortable reaching out to staff, who are on hand to provide support and guidance to students who may be reconsidering their choice of course.

Teachers and staff at NSCG understand that the transition into college can be a challenging time for students, and stress that it is okay to feel unsure about the path they have chosen.

The dedicated Student Services Team are available to help those in need decide their next steps, offer course advice, how to change courses and provide personalised one-to-one advice.

Students are also encouraged to speak to their personal tutor or another member of teaching staff who will be happy to talk about their options.

The initiative is supported through posters, banners, social media content, tutorial newsletters and staff involvement to ensure students know that help is available.
