Last Christmas: NSCG’s Darkly Festive Tale Unfolds

It wouldn’t be Christmas without the NSCG Christmas video, which sees the whole college community come together to star in a festive mini film.

Written, filmed and directed by Senior Digital Marketing Officer Dan Thomas and supported by Content Creator Becky Howard and the wider Marketing team, this year’s video has an unexpected dark twist.

In a Christmas tidy up gone wrong, two Elves are stored away and separated by campus. Bitter and heartbroken, they plot against those who forgot them - ruining Christmas for those who ruined it for them.

The NSCG community quickly realises the strange goings on aren’t just pranks – but that they are caught in a full on holiday horror.

You can expect to see your favourite Sports and Public Services lecturers getting up to mischief dressed as elves, Security’s Rich Blythe recreate an iconic scene from Die Hard and an appearance from Brickwork Curriculum Leader Robbie Legg as Father Christmas himself.

Set to a cover of Wham's Christmas Classic ‘Last Christmas’, produced, performed and recorded by our fantastic Music department, the video leaves the audience wondering whether the elves will find their way back to each other and if the NSCG community save Christmas in time…or will it be the ‘Last Christmas’ for all involved?
