NSCG welcomes record numbers to the first Open Event of the academic year

More than 3400 eager faces attended Newcastle College’s first Open Event of the academic year to find out for themselves what makes NSCG Staffordshire’s leading college.

Talks, tasters and tours were the order of the evening, as parents and prospective students were shown around the College by the fabulous Xtra’s – the student ambassadors, and got the chance to meet with tutors and staff to find out more about the extensive range of programmes and courses available.

The ‘Class of 23’ once again outperformed national benchmarks with a 99.1% A Level pass rate of which 84% achieved grades A* - C and a 98.4% pass rate from those who completed a BTEC Extended Diploma with 72.8% of students achieving grades DMM or above which is equivalent to three A* - B grades at A-level.

With a huge selection of subject options in a range of programmes including A Levels, A+ Programmes, Vocational courses and T Levels, NSCG has pathways suited to all learners with a dedicated staff team that goes the extra mile to help students exceed their expectation.
