Pizza and Prosecco Charity Fundraiser held in support of the Peter Pan Centre
Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) hosted a dazzling evening of philanthropy and celebration at the Performing Arts Centre on Knutton Lane, on Friday 9 February.
The 'Pizza and Prosecco' employer event was held to raise much-needed funds for the Peter Pan Centre - a local children's charity supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities from birth until they enter school. The evening was also an opportunity to celebrate and recognise the employer partnerships NSCG holds and to highlight the importance of apprenticeships and supporting vocational education.
Attendees were treated to an evening of fun and fizz with uplifting music courtesy of The Tree Katz Trio jazz band. Delicious wood-fired pizza from Nonnina's was then enjoyed by all before Toby Hall from Leighton Hall Auctions helped to encourage guests to dig deep as they bid on a range of fantastic gifts and experiences donated by NSCG’s employer partners and local businesses.
Among the Lots on offer were tickets to attractions like Alton Towers, Trentham Monkey Forest, New Vic Theatre, and West Midlands Safari Park, alongside a luxurious four-night stay at Gradbach Farmhouse. The raffle also contained a range of vouchers, alcohol, beauty sets and products.
The evening, which was sponsored by Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce, KMF, Newcastle-under-Lyme BID, Mounsey Chartered Surveyors and Panda Press proved to be a resounding success with more than £6250 raised for the Peter Pan Centre. Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support, organizers extended thanks to all who donated prizes and attended the event, underscoring the collective effort that made the evening a triumph for the Peter Pan Centre.
In addition to the charitable aspect, the event also honoured employers who work with NSCG with five awards presented during the ceremony, recognizing excellence in various categories:
