Heading to Staffordshire to launch his new Christmas Day talent show 'Sir Elton's Starquest', Sir Elton John pays a visit to NSCG. With £1million up for grabs, staff and students are showcasing their talents in the hope of being the next BIG thing...

As 2023 marked the 50th anniversary of Elton John's iconic festive anthem, "Step into Christmas" naturally, this was the song of choice but bringing a fresh touch to this classic song, talented Level 3 Musical Theatre student, Melissa Corns took the lead, re-recording the vocals to showcase her fantastic voice while fellow musical learners contributed harmonies.

Surprising everyone with his hidden talents, NSCG accounting lecturer Ashley Seadon, showcased his musical prowess by recording an electrifying riff and donning the iconic red suit to play the role of Father Christmas and staff across departments from Motorsports to Hair and Beauty really got into the swing of things by showcasing some fierce lip syncing skills and dance moves!

However, stealing the spotlight once again, was the Senior Management Team who brought the house down with their convincing portrayal of dedicated Elton John super fans. But it was NSCG Principal and CEO Craig Hodgson who really stepped into the spotlight, adding a touch of humour and flair to the festive video by donning the legendary artist's classic style and giving a show stopping performance as Elton himself! And yes, Craig. You can keep the blazer!

A massive round of applause and huge thanks to everyone who participated and helped to make this year's Christmas video truly unforgettable.
