Study the 18th Edition Award to get up to speed with current regulations within the electrical industry. This industry required qualification is aimed at practising electricians with relevant experience and other allied professionals such as surveyors, consultants and other trades needing to update and enhance their understanding of IET Wiring Regulations. It is also suitable for anyone wishing to demonstrate an understanding of the IET 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
The 18th Edition is the term commonly used in the industry when referring to the latest British Standards BS 7671:2018 Requirements for Electrical Installations, IET Wiring Regulations. This award will give learners an understanding of the application of the Eighteenth Edition (AMD 3).
It provides a facility for individuals working in the electrotechnical sector to develop and/or enhance their knowledge of the Requirements for Electrical Installation.
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.
This course is assessed by the completion of a 60 question on screen open book multiple choice exam.

This course will be taught on one evening per week for a total of 8 weeks. It can also be taken as an exam only qualification.

- The current version of BS 7671 (brown cover)
- The current version of the On Site Guide (brown cover)
Please be aware that by holding the 18th edition qualification does not mean you are qualified to work as an electrician.
