Level 3 AAT Diploma In Accounting

This AAT qualification will help you develop the accounting skills needed in the workplace, as well as IT skills and an understanding of professional ethics.

AAT is the UK's leading qualification and membership body for accounting staff. As a professional body, AAT offers membership to both student and qualified Accounting Technician members.

AAT qualifications are widely recognised by employers in the accounting sector. Learn about producing financial accounts for sole traders and partnerships, management accounting, business awareness, VAT returns and spreadsheet software.

You will need to have recently completed the AAT Certificate in Accountancy Level 2 to sign up to this course. Applicants who have not recently completed the AAT Level 2 course with us must complete an entry assessment to demonstrate competency.

The course is assessed through four online AAT examinations, you must achieve a minimum of 70% in all of these exams.

You can progress on to the AAT Diploma in Accounting Level 4 course at the college. Once all three levels of the AAT qualification have been achieved you will be a qualified accounting technician and can apply for full professional membership of AAT as long as you can satisfy their work experience requirements. You may then consider continuing your studies to become a qualified accountant. Each of the professional institutes (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW and CIPFA) accepts AAT qualified accounting technicians onto their programs of study, and all offer exemptions.

You can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan or Higher Education Loan to help with the costs of your course if you are 19 or older and the course you are studying is an eligible Level 3, 4, 5 or 6 course.
