While the qualification itself does not confer electrician status, it serves as a stepping stone towards achieving your goals.

This course is perfect if you currently do not work within the electrical industry but may wish to do so and it will develop your understanding and skills of electrical installation. It does not require occupational evidence from the workplace, so is suitable if you do not work within the electrical industry.

During your studies, you will develop the following skills:

  • Electrical installation design
  • Electrical science and principles
  • Electrical installation craft
  • Inspection, testing and commissioning
  • Diagnosing and correcting electrical faults

Our passionate and experienced staff, equipped with a qualified trade background, will guide you through engaging practical activities to help you to enhance both your practical and theoretical knowledge for the workplace.

Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation

GCSE A*- C (4-9) or equivalent in Mathematics and English

This course will be assessed by an online exam and assignments and practical tests followed by a final synoptic assessment.

What else do I need to know?

This qualification is suitable for learners who currently do not work within the electrical industry (but may wish to do so) and for those who wish to develop their understanding and skills of electrical installation and for those who would like to continue to become a qualified Electrician in the Domestic, Commercial or Industrial sector. It does not require occupational evidence from the workplace, so is also suitable for learners who currently may not work within the electrical industry (but may wish to do so). Students attend a fully equipped training centre where they will learn essential theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
