Take the first steps to gaining a recognised qualification in Interior Design with this introductory course. You will be introduced to fashion trends, colour, light, materials and decoration and the key principles and terminology used in interior design. From interpreting a client brief to realising and communicating creative ideas, this course will give you the foundations to progress in this creative sector.
This course is a FREE introductory programme designed for individuals interested in exploring the fundamentals of interior design.
During this course, you will learn the basic principles of design, colour theory, spatial planning, furniture choices and lighting strategies. Students will learn how to create functional, inviting and aesthetically pleasing interiors for different types of spaces. The course will include simple design projects that allow learners to apply basic design concepts. The course provides foundational skills and knowledge for those that have an interest in interior design or are looking to enhance their personal design abilities.

You could apply for another adult course at NSCG or look at studying at a higher level.

The course will give you a taster of what interior design is all about and you will be taught by a professionally qualified tutor. You will study in a relaxed, friendly and stimulating environment and you will gain a variety of new skills whilst having a great opportunity to meet new people. A wide mixture of students attend, all of varying ages and abilities. No experience is required and you will have the full support and guidance from your tutor.
