Course overview
This 6-week CNC Machining Course is to support learners who have an interest in this subject and is designed to equip learners with the technical skills and knowledge necessary for careers in advanced manufacturing and precision engineering.
Our CNC milling course is will guide students through the whole process of creating an offline NC program to producing a finished machined part regardless of prior knowledge.
We will be using Autodesk FeatureCAM to create the offline programs by learning how to produce parts in the software workspace from hard copy drawings, creating stock, geometry, curves, features and cutter paths.
We will move to the machine and discuss the machine constraints and learn about tool setting, datums settings, offsets and file transfer.
This is an industrial software with a clear and easy to follow user friendly structure, once familiar with the software, students are usually surprised how quickly they can produce programs and parts.
Learners may have completed a previous Engineering qualification and wish to progress onto a higher-level qualifications, or to gain/develop knowledge and skills required to work in industries where there are requirements to utilise industrial software and new technologies of the future.
During this 10-week course, our team will help you to navigate the basics of CNC Machining to enhance your CV for career progression.
