Are you an adult learner aged 19+ and thinking about changing your career or getting the qualifications you may have missed out on? It's never too late to learn with one of our adult education courses.

We understand that studying alongside family and work commitments can be tricky, so we have developed flexible adult courses that can be studied part-time at either our Newcastle or Stafford campuses or you can choose to study online from the comfort of your own home.

If you're in employment and want to progress in your career, our courses will give you the opportunity to boost your skills and transform your future. Maybe you've had a career break to raise a family, been made redundant or fancy a completely new career direction, whatever your reason for studying, you're sure of a warm welcome at NSCG.

Many of our adult learning courses are FREE or you could be eligible for financial support depending on your circumstances. There are also a number of FREE Level 3 courses available if don't already have a Level 3 qualification under the National Skills Fund.

FREE Higher Technical courses funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund

Newcastle and Stafford Colleges Group (NSCG) has secured more than £150,000 of funding from the Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) as part of the government’s Levelling Up agenda to offer a number of FREE Level 4 Higher Technical courses.

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.

The FREE courses on offer through the fund, which will be available to study at Newcastle College and Stafford College have been developed taking into consideration the key priorities identified through analysis of the labour market, skills and sector-based trends and are aligned with the LSIP priority sectors to improve and develop skills across the region.

The Higher Technical courses available to study with NSCG include short courses from across a range of areas including Engineering and Advanced Manufacturing, Logistics and Distribution, Health Care and Digital Industries and will aim to develop skills across the region in order to support productivity, economic growth and innovation.
