Sporting Success Stories

Pole Vaulter Steven Lewis studied A Levels at NSCG, now retired he is Britain’s most successful Pole Vault Olympian, representing Team GB at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Triple Jumper Ben Williams studied A Levels at NSCG and has gone on to compete on an international stage.

Abbygael Harris is a former NSCG A Level student and has represented the sport of badminton at both national and international level. She is currently working towards qualifying for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

England U19 International Beth Roberts, is a current NSCG HNC Sport student and member of the Andy Griffin Football Academy (AGFA).

Greg Butler is a professional swimmer and former NSCG A Level student representing Great Britain at junior level.

Former HND Sport student Lucy Holt, is an extremely successful cross-country athlete who represented NSCG at numerous national events.

Current NSCG Sport student, Ethan Cartwright is an Andy Griffin Football Academy first team player and captain and currently plays for Walsall F.C.

Volleyball player Lauren Cadwgan studied A Levels at NSCG and helped the Women’s Volleyball team to consecutive AoC National Championship finals. She is currently an England Junior international player for Volleyball England.

Former NSCG A Level student David Neligwa formed part of the successful 2017/18 Andy Griffin Football Academy squad, reaching the finals of English Schools Cup. A member of the ESFA England Squad, he currently plays for Nantwich Town F.C.
