Double award nomination for T Level Student
20 May 2026
Mia Howard has been nominated for an incredible two awards at the University of Staffordshire Business Awards 2026.
Mia is a second-year T Level Legal Services student currently completing her placement with Robin Recruitment, a recruitment agency based locally in Newcastle. Mia has been nominated for both Young Business Person of the Year and Apprentice of the Year at this year’s awards.
Nominated by Selina Rudzik, Managing Director of Recruitment Robin and NSCG Assessor at the Institute of Technology, Mia has consistently gone above and beyond both academically and professionally, with Selina commenting, “Alongside her technical and professional development, Mia’s personal journey highlights remarkable resilience and determination. Overcoming a challenging background, she has fully embraced education and workplace learning as a pathway to success, transforming from a reserved student into a confident professional who actively contributes to business outcomes.
Quickly developing confidence in professional settings, Mia has gone from strength to strength. Using knowledge and skills from the classroom, this ambition and determination have been carried far beyond her time at college, with Mia successfully launching and growing her own nail tech business, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit.
Progressing to study Law LLB at Aston University in September, Mia said, “I am incredibly honoured to have been nominated for my awards by Recruitment Robin. My placement has been one of my most rewarding experiences as part of my T Level. The dedication of both the Recruitment Robin team and the T Level Legal Services team have given me the confidence to take advantage of the amazing opportunities provided and helped to shape my personal and professional development."
Bringing together nominees for 13 categories across the sector, judging for the Awards will commence in June 2026, with sponsors and key business stakeholders coming together to make their final decisions. Finalists will be invited to pre-event drinks along with judges and sponsors, before culminating in a decadent black-tie dinner and awards ceremony this September to champion the region’s business community.
We’re sure Mia’s prowess will shine through the judging process, and we’re excited to see the verdict. Good luck Mia!
