The Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire Institute of Technology (IoT) is hosting an Introduction to Higher Education Computing and Esports event, inviting Level 3 students and adult learners to discover the university-level courses available and the exciting careers emerging within these rapidly growing sectors.

This engaging event will highlight the fast-paced world of computing, gaming and esports, offering a unique opportunity to hear directly from local tech employers, esports organisations and industry professionals who are shaping the region’s digital and competitive gaming landscape.

You will explore how computing and digital skills are used every day in areas such as software development, cybersecurity, networking, game design, data analysis and professional esports, gaining valuable insight into the technologies and workflows driving modern tech and gaming industries. 

You will also have the opportunity to hear all about NSCG’s HNC and HND courses in Computing and Esports, designed to help you advance your skills and progress into careers such as software engineer, network technician, data specialist, games developer, esports coach, event organiser or professional support staff within the esports ecosystem. 

Sessions on offer on the day:

Computing: 9.30am - 12.30pm

Esports: 1.00pm - 4.00pm

This event is ideal for Level 3 Computing, IT or Esports students looking to progress into higher education, as well as adult learners interested in retraining, refocusing or upskilling for new opportunities in the computing, gaming and esports industries. Part-time study options may be available to adult learners subject to interest.
