NSCG Students Celebrate Success at the National Apprenticeship & Skills Awards
10 October 2025
Three students have been recognised for their exceptional achievements at the National Apprenticeship and Skills Awards (West Midlands Regional Ceremony), hosted by NSCG alumnus Tino Mumvuri, who studied Level 3 BTEC Business at the college in 2022.
The prestigious annual event celebrates the outstanding contributions of apprentices, T Level students and employers from across the region, highlighting their impact on skills development and industry excellence.
Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprentice, Ella Beech, was named Intermediate Apprentice of the Year, while her employer, DPC Accountants, also took home the award for SME Apprenticeship Employer of the Year.
Fellow students Will Beardmore and Daisy Corfield, who studied T Level Management and Administration, were recognised in the T Level Student of the Year category. Will received the Highly Commended award, celebrating his hard work and success in securing an apprenticeship with Rolls-Royce, while Daisy was named a Regional Finalist and has since progressed to an apprenticeship with Mercedes-Benz.
NSCG’s employer partners were also celebrated on the night, with Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) awarded Highly Commended in the T Level Employer of the Year category for their continued support in providing outstanding industry placements and mentoring opportunities for students.
All regional winners and commendations will now progress to the National Awards Ceremony, where the judging panel will select one overall National Winner and two Highly Commended entries in each category. The final will take place at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London at the end of November.
