The course is ideal if you are an experienced welder and you now wish to develop your skills further so that you can undertake complex welding work and quality control. This qualification is highly sought after by employers and may lead to great employment opportunities.

You will be able to learn about welding disciplines in MMA, MIG or TIG to help you to undertake complex welding work and quality control.

This is predominantly a practical course delivered in our brand-new workshops at Stafford College. It includes all the underpinning knowledge of welding as a profession, as well as the Health & Safety requirements.

Alongside the practical workshop sessions, you will be expected to do a small amount of reading and internet research to answer the assessment questions at the end of the course.

To sign up to this course you will need to have achieved a City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Welding Skills qualification (City & Guilds 3268)

To gain one of these qualifications, you must successfully complete five practical assignments and an on-line knowledge test. All assessments will undergo destructive tests.
