Gain a nationally-recognised qualification to help you to progress your career in Construction Plant Maintenance. Study this practical and work-based vocational qualification provides to gain the skills needed to demonstrate your ability to carry out maintenance work on plant machinery used in the construction industry. 

This vocational qualification covers a range of plant machinery used in the construction industry, including excavators, bulldozers, cranes, backhoes, dump trucks, loaders, and other types of heavy machinery.

Please not that there are no specific entry requirements for this qualification, but candidates must have a basic understanding of plant maintenance and have experience working with plant machinery in the construction industry.

The qualification is assessed through a combination of on-the-job practical assessments, observations, and written assignments. Candidates will be assessed by a qualified assessor who will visit them at their workplace and observe them carrying out tasks and activities related to plant maintenance.

Courses with a duration over 12 weeks and costing in excess of £150 (including exam fees) can be paid for in instalments over the duration of the course or one year (whichever is shorter). While the College can not guarantee this arrangement in every case, we will do our best to accommodate requests to pay by instalments. In order to pay by instalments you must come into the college, we cannot take payment online.
