This course is led by an experienced ESOL tutor who understands the challenges of learning English and planning for a new career. You don’t need any previous experience, just a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Taught by an experienced ESOL tutor, the course will help you build your confidence using everyday English for school settings. You’ll learn about the role of a Teaching Assistant, daily responsibilities, classroom routines, and the personal qualities schools look for, such as patience, teamwork and good communication. You’ll also practise using key vocabulary and phrases you might hear in a school, including giving instructions and supporting children. It’s the perfect place to begin your journey towards a rewarding career in education.

You will:

  • Learn what a Teaching Assistant does and where they work
  • Explore the key responsibilities and daily tasks in a school
  • Build your confidence with classroom vocabulary and education terms
  • Practise English for real-life school situations, like giving instructions or helping children
