Are you thinking about taking your UK driving theory test but feel unsure because of the language?
Our short, friendly course is perfect for anyone who wants to learn more about the theory test in a supportive environment, especially if English is not your first language. You don’t need to have started driving lessons; this course is all about helping you understand the theory part. Taught by an experienced ESOL teacher, the course covers everything from how the test works to key English words, road signs, safety, and using the official learning materials. You’ll also build confidence in answering multiple choice questions and recognising hazards.
The course is taught by a professional ESOL teacher who understands the challenges of learning a new language and studying for a driving theory test. The course will help you feel more confident using technology, laws, signs, safety and the English language.
You will learn about:
- What the theory test is and how it works, building your confidence in reading and understanding theory questions
- The types of questions you’ll be asked (multiple choice and hazard perception)
- Road signs, rules of the road and safety on the road
- How to use official learning materials to practise
- Key English words and phrases used in the test
- Understand how to book and preparing for your test
Our short, friendly course is for people who want to learn more about the UK driving licence theory test but may feel unsure about the language or test content. It is especially helpful if English is not your first language.
You do not need to have taken any driving lessons yet, this course is just about helping you understand the theory test. Before you start the course, we will invite to attend a welcome event to ensure your level of English is appropriate for the course.
There are no formal assessments, just progress made through learning. Together, we’ll track your progress on an individual learning plan, and your tutor will provide you with regular feedback to help you grow.
