Italian for Beginners

This course is for you if you have no knowledge of the language or very little and would like a refresher course. It aims to provide you with both an understanding of the basics and Italian culture. The course is based on situations that you may encounter as a visitor to Italy, lessons will be taught through fun and interactive quizzes, games and role play to help you communicate with others in a variety of situations such as personal information, shopping, travel and food and drink.

Although the main focus will be on speaking, other language skills will be acquired and developed - including listening, reading, some writing and basic grammar.

This course is suitable if you have never studied the particular language before and/or have no experience at all of foreign language study.

The are no formal assessments, but your tutor will monitor your progress throughout the length of the course.

You could choose to use your language skills to find employment that requires multi-lingual employees, both in the UK and overseas.

Courses with a duration over 12 weeks and costing in excess of £150 (including exam fees) can be paid for in instalments over the duration of the course or one year (whichever is shorter). While the College can not guarantee this arrangement in every case, we will do our best to accommodate requests to pay by instalments. In order to pay by instalments you must come into the college, we cannot take payment online.
