Course overview
Explore your creative side and discover a new-found skill on this 6-week recreational ceramics course aimed at adult learners. Study alongside like-minded adults to learn and develop the basics of ceramic making skills, and how to work with clay and glaze.
The 6-week recreational course is perfect for beginners and for those who have some experience in ceramics and now want to develop upon their existing skills.
This adult course serves two functions: to enable experienced makers to develop their practice; and to offer introductory skills to adults who want to try their hand at something creative and new.
You'll be introduced to hand-building techniques, surface decoration and learning the use of appropriate glazes in a relaxed and informal setting. You will be able to work at your own pace and encouraged to work on individual projects of your own design.
If you would like more information, please contact the Faculty Administrator by emailing alex.condliffe@nscg.ac.uk
Upon completion, you may wish to apply for the next cohort but work on your own ceramic practice in the workshop.
