This course offers a Level 3 technical qualification that will provide learners with the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to progress into skilled employment or higher-level technical training or study in the legal sector.

Five GCSEs at grade 5 or above, including English, Maths and Science.

The core knowledge and understanding will be assessed through an examination and core skills through a practical employer-set project.

The occupational specialism in the second year will provide an opportunity to pursue either of the following routes

  • Legal Services Assistant - business, finance and employment
  • Legal Services Assistant - crime, criminal justice and social welfare

College Maintenance Allowance (CMA): Anyone with a household income under £26,000 can receive up to £20 per week financial support to help pay for travel and meals and meet the costs of essential trips, books, stationery and equipment.
