Gym Instructing student reaches AOC Fitness Trainer final

YMCA Level 3 Diploma Gym Instructing and Personal Training learner, Daniel Jeavons made it to the finals of the prestigious AOC Sport Fitness Trainer Final at the recent championships.

Dan faced stiff competition as one of six finalists over two gruelling days. He was faced with a number of tasks to show off his abilities, firstly a 30-minute personal training session with a client of his choice followed by a demonstration of physical skills. He was also tasked with delivering an engaging fitness testing session with a brand new client.

Finally, to showcase his all-round skills as a fitness trainer, Dan was challenged with both a social media task and presentation to promote his services and abilities to generate new business.

Dan said: "I'm a massive advocate for sports and physical activity of any kind and being part of this national competition means that I can be more influential in getting people active. Being at the finals has enabled me to prove my worth as one of the top personal training students in education."
