At NSCG Guest Chef evenings, visiting chefs craft a menu reflecting their signature culinary style and restaurant concept. They then join students in the kitchen to prepare and execute the menu for live service, giving learners invaluable hands-on experience and direct insight from some of the county’s finest culinary talent. Riverbank hosts a variety of Guest Chefs from street food vendors to high-end fine dining restaurants, ensuring learners gain a broad insight to the Hospitality and Catering industry.

Stuart and his wife, Frances, opened their restaurant the Docket in 2017, which has been recognised by the Michelin Guide and has been awarded a Plate each year since the 2020 Guide and has been highlighted by the Good Food Guide.

In 2021 Stuart represented the Central Region on the BBC’s Great British Menu, reaching the final and showcasing the amazing local ingredients North Shropshire has to offer.

Tom Harrison Curriculum Leader for Catering at NSCG said, "Stuart is an exceptional chef, and we are delighted to welcome him to the college as a guest chef. Having followed his career since before his appearance on Great British Menu, I am thrilled that our students will have the opportunity to work alongside and learn from a true master of his craft."
